EDWARD BRADLEY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPThe Angie Kennedy Educational Foundation is proud to sponsor the Edward Bradley Memorial Scholarship to be awarded to a student at South Carolina State University. Edward Bradley was a man of the people who displayed a clear understanding of the world. Born and reared in Florence, South Carolina Mr. Bradley was a truck driver by trade.
Four of his children attended South Carolina State University. Lethonia “Peaches” Barnes and Alphonso Bradley attended South Carolina State University. Isalee “Denise” Middleton earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the institution. And George Cleveland Bradley earned a Bachelor of Science in Child Development Early Childhood Education with a minor in mathematics as well as a Master’s of Science in mathematics education from South Carolina State University. Additionally two of Mr. Bradley’s grandsons attended South Carolina State University. Avery Bradley attended the institution and Curtis Bradley earned a Master’s of Science in Civil Engineering with a cognate in Transportation from South Carolina State University. Four of Mr. Bradley’s grandchildren were educated at Felton Laboratory School (FLS). Avery Bradley, Curtis Bradley, Adrian “Flip” Bradley and Nia Bradley all attended Felton Laboratory School. Mr. Bradley’s daughter-in-law Tina Marshall-Bradley was South Carolina State University’s 1996 Teacher of the Year. Mr. Bradley earned his high school diploma as an adult. However, his intellect permeated his family and set the stage for formal education for generations. The Edward Bradley Memorial Scholarship honors the spirit of a man who imparted upon his family a clear understanding of the power of knowledge. The criteria for this scholarship are as follows:

The members of the Alumni Class of 1979 are considered Trail Blazers. The Class was the first alumni class to sponsor a scholarship under AKEF. The Class of 1979 acknowledges that as alumni they assume a certain level of responsibility for helping young people in the Orangeburg community to continue their educational pursuits upon graduating from high school.

be a graduating senior of Orangeburg Wilkinson High School
commit to finding a way to give back to Orangeburg Wilkinson High School upon graduating from college or professional school

O-W Class of '79 Sports Program Scholarship
The members of the Alumni Class of 1979 continue their philanthropic legacy for supporting young people by expanding their scholarship initiative. This special scholarship celebrates O-W's strong history of high school athletics with a scholarship specifically for a high school athlete.
Requirements for the O-W Class of '79 Sports Program Scholarship:
be a graduating senior of Orangeburg Wilkinson High School
participated in full season of a Varsity sports program
commit to finding a way to give back to Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School upon graduating from college or professional school
These criteria must be met in addition to the criteria listed under AKEF Scholarship criteria to qualify for Orangeburg Wilkinson Alumni Class of 1979 Scholarship.
Requirements for the O-W Class of '79 Sports Program Scholarship:
be a graduating senior of Orangeburg Wilkinson High School

Wilkinson Alumni Class of 1968
The members of Alumni Class of 1968 are extremely proud of the history associated with their former high school. Since Wilkinson High School and Orangeburg High School were integrated in the early 1970’s, the Class has fully supported Orangeburg Wilkinson High School. To further demonstrate their support, the Alumni Class of 1968 will sponsor a scholarship annually.
Requirements for the Orangeburg Wilkinson Class of 1968 Scholarship Award:
• be a graduating senior of Orangeburg Wilkinson High School
• commit to finding a way to give back to Orangeburg Wilkinson High School upon graduating from college or vocational technical school
